Leaving today, another great trip to Uchi!
Charlie and Clyde caught 104 walleye largest today was 25″ walleye with many fish >25″. Caught a 24″ blue on ultralite tackle. perfect walleye weather on thurs.
August is a great time to visit Uchi!

well, it’s been a great week. Had one day with 107 fish which is unbelievable for us. Had a walleye attacked by a northern at the boat 3 times and 2 times on film which we hope to have up on this website soon. Sorry to have to head out today. Big thanks to Larry, Becky, Bertha, Dave, and Judy for a great stay here. We’ll definitely miss it all.

Great fishing ! Have been coming here 10 years biggest fish of all our trips! 12 fish over 24 inches largest 25 1/2″. Caught 2 twenty-five inch blue walleye on ultra lite, Great fun to land those. Landed a 34″ northern on a walleye. Floating jigs working last 2 days!

Some words to describe the fishing today. It was incredible, fantastic, a hammerfest, ridiculous…. etc… etc… Lots of fish today. biggest walleye was 25.5″ on a husky jerk behind a bottom bouncer. Caught a lot of northerns as well and dad lost the fish of a lifetime at the boat as I was trying to get the big walleye in the boat. The crew here is the best at taking care of us and the food is excellent.

First day at Uchi Lake. The fishing was fantastic. Lots of walleyes in the 16-20″ range. 15 + pike biggest was just over 30″. 70 + fish today. Looking forward to a great week.

Well our last day of our week. We got to fish in the morning. 21 walleyes for me and 39 for Jim. 60 isn’t bad for the morning. Sorry about this Bruce, but we were bringing up a 17″ walleye and out of nowhere a 33″ pike grabbed it and wouldn’t let go. We also got 6 pike this morning. We’re so sorry this has to end. The fishing has been great and the staff (Judy,Bertha,Brenda,Richard and Larry) are so fantastic to every guest here at Uchi Lake Lodge.
Will we come back again?

If you like rain, yesterday was for you. It came down in buckets. But as all walleye fisherman know the fish bite good in the rain. We caught 69 walleyes and 7 pike. Finally we caught a walleye and a pike grabbed on and wouldn’t let go till he was in the boat (not as big as your pike Bruce). Been waiting for that all week. Everybody in camp had a good day yesterday,

After a tough fishing day, yesterday was a day to remember. We woke to overcast skies and a stiff breeze. Went to the far end of the lake and we finally did it. Our best day at Uchi ever. Jim and I caught and released 147 walleyes. Lots over 20″ and the biggest was 25″.

Well it finally happened. A tough day to find walleye. No clouds, no breeze, bright sunshine and 80+ degrees. We only caught 35 walleyes yesterday. No biggies but we lost some monsters. Did catch more 26-27 inch pike.

The water’s cold, I’m not gonna lie,
but deep inside is the big walleye

Sleeping on the bed is nice and comfy
you won’t fall off like humpty dumpty

No other places have showers this nice
Look no more, Fern’s got the best price.

Only a three mile walk to the can,
hope I don’t get jumped by that shadow man,

This cabin is bombin’ I don’t really mean to diss
But do really need this bridge to take a piss?

I love it here, it’s all fun and good,
but my homies be callin’ they need me in the hood.

I can’t wait to get back to the USA
I guess Canada wasn’t all bad – ‘eh’?

Thanks for the memories, we had a lot of fun
but now I’m sad, cause it’s all done

I’ll miss fishing, playing too,
but we snuck 50 fish back,
so the joke is on you!

It made me so mad I’m going to snap to this twig
