Only if you want to give your musky a complex. Can you just hear it around the old musky gathering. One musky sitting off in the corner all by himself. One of the other Muskies asked the oldest one what's wrong with Charlie. He was caught by an angler in a Bass Boat and he's ashamed.
My boat is a walleye boat. deeper hull than a Bass Boat so it is more stable in the sometimes wild weather you encounter when Musky fishing. As the old saying goes whatever floats your boat.

if you are primarily fishing for muskies go with the deep v. it is more stable in rough waters and if you set it up right you will have no regrets. it is also tons better if you are going to do any amount of trolling. look at some musky fishing sites or magazines you will hardly ever see any of those anglers using a bass boat.

It depends on what lakes are your primary lakes. If you see yourself on bigger lakes mostly go for the deep v. For alot of musky fishing though, you'll find yourself near the shores, so most likely a bass boat would be good.
My friend and I use his bass boat for the last 5 years and we haven't had a problem with bigger lakes yet. Like I said though, unless we go across the lake, we stick to shore. I like the versatility of the bass boat, especially in the upper midwest with the lower water levels the last few years.
With the two of us, there's enough room for all the tackle, beverages of choice, and extra rods as well.
Good luck in either purchase though...

This really depends on if your feel comfortable in doing so yourself, if you feel that its safe in your area and you have the correct safety equipment then why not, personally i would go for bigger more powerful boat for use in rougher water, but if you think your boats capable and you know how to cover all situations then go for it.

well bass boats usually dont have as much room to store, in your case, fish as big as musky but if you catch and release there is no real problem in terms of the weight of the boat. my dad's friend goes fishing for musky all the time in his bass boat so it must be perfectly fine to do so.
