I love YA. What kind of lure works best for largemouth/smallmouth bass?

Time of year, water temp, water clarity, depth fish are holding in, structure or cover, open water or shallow, high fishing pressured lake.
Post front, Front moving in, wind direction & speed. Cloudy, partly cloudy, chance of rain or thunderstorms, etc., etc.
Different conditions call for different baits, techniques.

All that being said more bass have been caught on the plastic worm than any other bait, in Bass Tournaments!

Use Rat-L-Traps jerk baits jigs and crank baits fish as far down as possible close to the rocks it’s no big deal if the bait scraps the bottom, it can induce a reaction strike. fish ‘em fast
